FAQ
Will This Fit My Current Duvet Insert?
No. Our panels zip onto the Down for Good duvet insert specifically, using a zip system built to run the full perimeter. A standard duvet insert isn’t built for that zip, so our panels won’t attach to one. If you don’t already have our insert, you’ll need the complete system to use these panels.
Can I Buy Just One Panel?
You can buy one panel to replace or refresh a single side, but you’ll need two to fully cover your duvet insert: one for the top, one for the bottom. If you’re starting from scratch, look for the complete system instead of individual panels.
What Makes This System Different From a Regular Duvet Cover?
Most duvet covers require you to shove the duvet insert into the cover, then rely on corner partial ties to hold it in place. There’s a lot of room between those corner ties though that lets your comforter shift, bunch, and leave gaps. Our zip runs the full perimeter of each panel, so once it’s on, it stays on. No corners working loose, no midnight adjustments, no stuffing a comforter into a cover. Two panels, one insert, one zip system built to work together. It’s bedding made for real life: the version of your bed that still looks good on the mornings you didn’t have time to fix it.
Why is Organic Cotton Better?
Organic cotton is softer on your skin and gentler on the planet. It’s grown without harmful pesticides or synthetic chemicals, which helps protect the health of farmers, waterways, and ecosystems. It also uses less water than conventional cotton and supports more responsible farming practices.
For you, that means a naturally breathable fabric that’s softer to the touch, safer for sensitive skin, and better at keeping you comfortably cool while you sleep.
What's the Difference Between Classic and Essential?
Both styles use the same patented zip system and 300-thread count organic cotton sateen, so the fit and feel are identical. The difference is in the finish: Classic has a crisp 2.5-inch hemmed edge for a more tailored, refined look, while Essential has a clean, edge-wrapped finish for a smoother, more minimalist look. Pick whichever finish fits your style, or mix and match panels from both styles on the same bed.
